You gotta have a dream ...
Happy talk, keep talking happy talk, Talk about the things you like to do; You gotta have a dream, If you don't have a dream, How you gonna have a dream come true? [from: South Pacific - The Broadway Musical]What brought about this thought? Listening to Martin Luther King's recording this morning, delivering one of the finest world-changing speeches of all time on my Worldspace Satellite Radio ... a really worthwhile investment (and, by the way, the best place to buy the radios in this region is probably India.) My life's centred around 24/7 Jazz and Western/Eastern Classical Music. You can take your own pick. What a program selection their subscription service offers!

We South Asians happen to know a lot more about Europeans and North Americans than they know about us, it seems to me.

I'm waiting for the prices to come down just a little bit more, before getting a World Space receiver...

Led to this blog while looking for something very different. Good stuff. Will read archives soon. Sidhusahaeb, you can buy a small portable Worldspace unit for under $50 in Singapore. Is that expensive or cheap by the standards of wherever you live? Just wanted to have an idea of prices of things in the region. Also, what does a packet of Marlboro cost? Or a can of Coke?
